A Short History

The credentials of the Watertite ‘Smart Flow’ Management System were established when the then Watertite Conservation ‘Trickle Flow’ Valve was first introduced onto the South African market in 1998. This original brass valve was immediately adopted by 85 local councils throughout South Africa and was soon being used in Southern African countries, such as Namibia, Botswana and Zambia.

In 2007, the company introduced some significant changes to their management system, firstly by changing the composition of the valve from brass to Polypropylene "PPH" as well as supplying the 80-litre water tank as a critical adjunct to the valve.

This meant that Watertite Conservation’s priority of saving both water and money for South Africa’s authorities was more holistic while establishing a revised product that was considerably more cost-effective and durable.

These include:
The Free State - Gauteng - KwaZulu-Natal - Mpumalanga - Northern Cape - Northern Province - North West Province and the Western Cape.

In addition the system is now being exported to Zambia - Swaziland - Kenya - Namibia and the Sudan.
